Fun With Power Point

Open Power Point.

8 Click on the 1 Icon and load the Presentation file from drive A.

Make sure the Draw Tool Bar is on your desktop:

To Open the Draw Tool Bar

  • Click on View

q Go to Toolbars

  • Click on Drawing

$ You can select any toolbar you want to have on your desktop to facilitate any project you are working on.

Add a slide transition to Slide 1.

To Create Slide Transitions:

On the Menu:

  • Click on Slide Show

q Go to Slide Transitions

In the Slide Transition Dialogue Box:

Choose the transition effect you want:

  • Click on the 6 No transition in the effect box

q Select the transition effect:

Checkerboard Down

¤ Medium Transition

$ You can select any toolbar you want to have on your desktop to facilitate any project you are working on.

  • Click on Apply Button if you want this transition for only this slide.

$ If you click on Apply All, the transition will apply to all of the slides in your presentation. This will save you time because all the slide transitions would be uniform and automatically applied to all the slides.

$ If you click in the sound box at the bottom, you can add a sound effect that will accompany the slide transition.

Change text orientation on Slide 1.

8 Click on a text box

q Go to the Draw Toolbar


8 Click on the Free Rotate button

Your cursor will look like the button.

Move your cursor over one of the green "handles" on the text box and drag until you rotate the text to the desired angle of rotation.

Go to Slide 2, Use these instructions to Add a Slide Transition

q Effect—Cover left up ¤ Medium Transition

q Sound effect—Drum roll

8 Click on Apply


Use these instructions to add Slide Transitions to the rest of your document.
