Statement
of Purpose
State the purpose
of the site clearly and succinctly. This statement is so important
it is listed here first. It will benefit the user, since such a statement
may better prevent them from wasting time searching through the site
only to discover it doesnt have the desired information. You
may wish to include this element on an introduction page to your Web
site that precedes the syllabus.
To make the statement
as clear as possible, begin with the phrase, "The purpose of
this site is
." The statement should use plain language
without educational jargon, be brief, focus on the target audience,
and be achievable.
