Accomplishments
·
Enjoy a working relationship with members of Santa
Clara Universities faculty to integrate technology, and the effects
of technology on the community into their curriculum.

Advise and consult with faculty to access Technology
Steering Committee (TSC) funding for projects related to teaching
and learning. Act as project adviser and provide training to TSC
funded projects.
·
Served has an active member of the “Information Services
(IT) Customer Satisfaction Project Team” in conducting a campus
wide, students/faculty/staff, survey to be used as a benchmark of
performance by all Information Service organizations.
·
Developed the Multimedia lab into a high tech teaching
and learning environment.
·
Participated as a consultant and advisor in the implementation
of the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) training program
offered at Santa Clara University.
·
Successfully implemented “Voice Over IP” technology
at Santa Clara University.
EXPERIENCE
Instructional Technology Resource Specialist Santa Clara University
1996 to present.
Provide direct assistance in classes for both faculty
and students in the use of technology. This assistance is divided
into two areas. First is helping faculty understand the effects
of technology on the educational environment and how best to use
and adapt technology skills to their curriculum. Second is to provide
solutions to instructional and other information transfer problems,
and professional development services for all faculty, in support
of the University's general mission of teaching, research, and service.
Primarily functioning as an instructional designer contributing
to critical professional support of faculty in the selection, design,
production and implementation of instructional and educational solutions
for the support of University teaching. Working with faculty to
implement instructional design principles and insure the effective
utilization of technology in the creation of faculty projects,
workshops, and all media development.
Some ways that the above objectives have been met:

Encourage faculty to move beyond the electronic reserve
shelf and to begin exploring a range of new pedagogical possibilities
and resources for web-enhanced courses.
·
Develop and implement a pedagogy of internet/technology
based instruction to be implemented in web based instruction.
·
Work directly with faculty in the design and development
of assignments and lesson plans in their courses.
·
Support faculty in the implementation and development
of technology based instruction.
·
Aid in the implementation and development of technology-based
curriculum in core classes across the university.
·
Develop and teach instructionally focused Internet,
authoring, and other workshops for faculty.

education classes. Topics have included Windows95-98, Multimedia
development, JavaScript for the Web, and Multimedia for the World
Wide Web.
