David DiBiase, ESRI’s Education Director, will be on campus Thursday, November 1, to present an introduction to GIS—geographic information system. The layered mapping capabilities of GIS provide powerful visual information for any discipline, and ESRI is a “gold standard” for GIS among academic communities and the federal government. Come find out how it works and how it can enhance your teaching and research. As an introduction to David DiBiase , SCU Professors Iris Stewart-Frey (Environmental Studies and Sciences) and Ed Maurer (Civil Engineering) will share how they and their students currently use GIS in teaching and research.
