Craig Stephens, biology, has received funding from the National Science Foundation for an additional $105,306 to support "Genomic Analysis of Metabolic Regulation in Caulobacter." This is the second year of an anticipated three-year award. The award, including this amendment, now totals $241,650.
SCU undergraduate students will learn cutting-edge techniques in gene expression analysis, bioinformatics and genetic engineering. In addition, funds are included this year for a part-time postdoctoral researcher. Some aspects of the project will be done collaboratively with investigators at Stanford University and Harvard University.
