Planned for 2012

Completing Santa Clara's grand entry experience, the Patricia A. and Stephen C. Schott Admission and Enrollment Services Building unites the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar and the Registrar in one convenient location. Positioned centrally along Palm Drive, this beautiful mission-style building will serve as an enrollment hub for current students and a touchstone for visitors, offering a rich introduction to the University and our Silicon Valley home.

Admissions and Enrollment Services BuildingStudent services are currently spread among several campus locations, with Admissions and Financial Aid housed in a 75-year-old former library that is difficult for visitors to find. The present Admissions facility also lacks a welcoming common gathering area, the space to accommodate large visitor groups, and the resources to present University history, academic offerings, and connections to local and global communities. The new Patricia A. and Stephen C. Schott Admission and Enrollment Services Building will not only create expanded space for serving current students, but also offer an engaging, interactive welcome to future Broncos.

The Patricia A. and Stephen C. Schott Admission and Enrollment Services Building will be an innovative, convenient center for University services, blending California Mission style, the latest in sustainable design, and technologies that involve and inspire. A gift toward this new facility supports the continued evolution of Santa Clara University, and will benefit thousands of SCU students for decades to come.

Planning in Progress

The new Art and Art History Building will serve to further elevate the arts at Santa Clara University.

Today on the north side of the Mission Campus visitors find the de Saisset Museum, Center of Performing Arts, the Music and Dance building, and Mayer Theatre. In the near future, Santa Clara will significantly increase the opportunities for scholarship and creativity with a state-of-the-art building for students studying the fine arts, for visiting artists to share their passion through their work, and for the University and greater community to participate in the exploration and appreciation of art.

This new facility dedicated to the fine arts is the next step on the road to national prominence as a locus of artistic instruction and research for Santa Clara University's undergraduate arts program. Plans for this facility include modern studios, technology-rich classrooms, student workspaces and meeting areas. A spacious gallery will be one of the many new features to showcase student, faculty, and visiting artists' work, as well as draw in the University and larger Bay Area community. With a focus on the future of arts education, Santa Clara University keeps this tradition alive.

New Softball Stadium

Planning in Progress

Can a new sports facility significantly advance the mission of a world-class university? It can if it enhances opportunities for student-athletes, creates a new focal point for the entire campus family, and serves as a new gateway to the wider community. Santa Clara University's new women's softball stadium will do all of those things.

New Softball StadiumSanta Clara Softball competes at the NCAA Division I level in a sport dominated by West Coast teams. Santa Clara's inadequate softball facilities and off-campus competition site inhibit the University's ability to compete at a championship level and to provide an appropriate student-athlete experience for the next generation of softball champions. Without a new facility, Santa Clara University cannot provide its softball student-athletes the high-quality experience they expect and deserve. Also, good facilities are central to successful recruitment, and Santa Clara must compete with Pacific Coast Softball Conference rivals such as Loyola Marymount and San Diego to attract student-athletes with the highest potential.

A positive student-athlete experience is paramount at Santa Clara University. We want student-athletes and former student-athletes to cherish their time here representing the University. A new softball facility will provide a similar, exemplary athletic centerpiece for the program, allowing us to recruit a greater number of highly qualified athletes, resulting in the same impact on the development of women's softball at Santa Clara.
