The $1 million Leavey Challenge will support scholarships, student research, international study abroad and immersion trips, and a variety of student-led campus initiatives.
Many of you may recall the Leavey name on campus in association with the business school or event center. A true Santa Clara story, the Leavey Foundation was established by Thomas Leavey ’22 and his wife Dorothy and has been continued by generations of family members. Prior to creating the Foundation, Thomas built on his Jesuit education in co-founding Farmer’s Insurance Group to bring low-cost insurance to rural drivers during the Great Depression. As a longtime leader in the community, the Leavey Foundation has continued the tradition of philanthropy started by Thomas and Dorothy.
Please consider making a gift today and being among the 9,000 alumni donors our University needs to meet the Leavey Challenge. You may direct your support to the Santa Clara Fund or any program on campus that is meaningful to you.
I deeply appreciate your contribution to our Santa Clara family. Your thoughtful gift makes a difference to students and puts us closer to raising an additional $1 million.
Sincerely,

Michael E. Engh, S.J.
