In order to succeed in our mission as a Jesuit, Catholic university, Santa Clara must foster a student body that is as qualified and diverse as possible. This means recruiting and admitting students who have the potential to benefit from a rigorous, values-based education-regardless of background or financial situation.
The Leavey Foundation will match gifts of up to $10,000
to Santa Clara's L.A. Catholic High School Scholarship Fund with a
two-for-one contribution—effectively tripling the impact of your gift.
The Leavey Foundation, a longtime supporter of Catholic education, has offered to help increase access to Santa Clara University among disadvantaged students from 21 Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. With a new matching grant program, The Leavey Match, the Foundation is challenging the University's dedicated friends and alumni to help shape the future of Santa Clara.
The Foundation will match gifts of up to $10,000 to Santa Clara's L.A. Catholic High School Scholarship Fund with a two-for-one contribution-effectively tripling the impact of your gift-up to a maximum of $1 million. The scholarship fund reinforces an educational pipeline created by the Catholic Education Foundation of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This program connects Catholic elementary schools, high schools, and universities to support disadvantaged students in the Archdiocese. It aims to expand access to college for deserving Southern California students and to nurture a new generation of SCU students and alumni representing a wider geographic and socioeconomic spectrum of California.
Please show your support for this important initiative by making a gift today to Santa Clara's L.A. Catholic High School Scholarship Fund. Your gift, matched and increased by the Leavey Foundation, will help deserving Southern California students take critical steps toward achieving their aspirations and college goals, here at Santa Clara University.
