Thank You Class of 2011
A huge THANK YOU goes out to the Class of 2011 who set a Senior Class Gift School Record with 34.4% of the class making a gift back to Santa Clara and supporting future Broncos! As a class, you raised $23,833 and when adding in the Senior Class Match ($1,000 per % of the class that gives) a grand total of $57,833 was raised!
2012 Santa Clara Senior Class Gift
Think of all the great experiences and opportunities you have had at Santa Clara University...met your best friends, participated on immersion trips, explored your interests, studied abroad, and countless other fantastic experiences... You may not realize it, but these are all thanks in part to the thousands of SCU Bronco Alumni who make a gift back to Santa Clara every year.
In 2008, a Senior Class Gift effort was started to give graduating seniors the opportunity to leave their mark on Santa Clara and help to support future students. The Senior Class Gift is purely about getting seniors to give, regardless of the amount, and showing their pride for SCU. The Gift is combined with an annual challenge (see Below) which further boosts the importance of the senior gift.
Why Give?
- Tuition only covers 75% of the total cost to educate you. The other 25% is made up by support from alumni, friends, and federal grants. Additionally, the new Library and Business School buildings were funded through the support of alumni, family and friends of the University... not tuition dollars.
- The number of SCU alumni that give back to the University every year is a factor used to determine the school's national ranking. By giving back, you are actually helping to increase the value of your degree.
- You aren't being asked to fund your own scholarship, or pay another year of tuition, instead we ask you to help increase your senior class' participation by making a gift of ANY SIZE ($5, $10, $20.12...) and give to a part of SCU that you feel could use more financial support (Student Clubs, Club Sports, Departments, or Scholarships)
- Two anonymous Santa Clara supporters have pledged to help inspire the Class of 2011 Senior Class Gift. For each percent of the class that supports the senior gift, they will donate $1,000 to the Santa Clara Fund in support of today's students.
- For example, if 25% of the Senior Class makes a gift, an additional $25,000 will be raised for SCU. 50% participation will raise an additional $50,000.

Senior Class Gift Committee
Join the Class of 2012 Senior Class Gift Committee and help to lead a fundraising campaign for seniors during their graduation year. The committee is a fun, low-commitment group for seniors who want to help promote giving to the Senior Campaign, organize activites and opportunities for seniors to give, and celebrate their accomplishments.
