When Carla Vaccarezza decided to attend graduate school at Santa Clara , she knew she wanted to work with students. As a graduate resident director, she connected with each student who lived in her dorm. It's not surprising she ended up working for UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy as an Admissions & Student Affairs Advisor.  She reflects on her time at SCU: "What I remember most about Santa Clara is a community atmosphere that combined the balance of being at a large university with lots of opportunities at one's fingertips to grow and develop as a student, but also being small enough that you felt as though every knew you by name!"

 She chose to support Santa Clara after graduation for several reasons.

"I don't believe that I would be where I am at today without the support that Santa Clara 's faculty, staff, and fellow students (including the wonderful, invaluable friends that I made as a student) provided me as a student. I decided to support SCU to give back just a small fraction of that support in a tangible way."

Carla chose to support the Santa Clara Fund and the Counseling Psychology Department to provide opportunities for current students in many of the same programs she participated in.She remembers: "I remember as a graduate student, trying to balance work and my studies and that extra financial support definitely went a long way."
