Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, INDIA:

8,000 miles (12,874 km), 12:30 hour time zone difference, 5 days in March, 3 cities, 5 alumni, 2 current student parents, and countless conversations with newly admitted undergraduate students and prospective juniors from India kicked off Undergraduate International Admission Spring travels this year.

The focus was to increase awareness of Santa Clara University with families during a pivotal time in their decision making process regarding where to attend university abroad. As a family from India considers sending their 18 year-old daughter or son to travel the 8,000 miles to join our Bronco community, it becomes an important recruitment strategy to cultivate ways to connect families to the Bronco spirit in their local area. Engaging our alumni and current student parents at Spring Admitted Student events and a new program connecting current international students to newly admitted students (International Admission Volunteer program) has created a wonderful synergy for Santa Clara in India.

As relationships develop, future recruitment travels are planned, and the India Advisory Committee continues its work; Undergraduate International Admission is looking forward to further enhanced efforts across India, deeper alumni engagement, and stronger ties to the Indian community in the Silicon Valley.
