White House Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge

Because SCU is participating in the nationwide White House Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge during the 2011-2012 academic year, the SCU Interfaith Council and Campus Ministry have been sponsoring interfaith service projects each quarter that lift up sustainability and solidarity. More information about the national program is available here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/ofbnp/interfaithservice.

For their spring Challenge project, the Interfaith Council and Campus Ministry are partnering with the SCU Community Service Day, and will be helping recruit students to participate in shared service across our various traditions and backgrounds. As they have done during previous projects, Interfaith Council and Campus Ministry will also offer an opportunity during lunch for participants of any faith or tradition to reflect with others on their own convictions about serving others, and how that conviction was expressed through the day's community service
