About LEAD
| The LEAD Program was established in 2003 as part of a university-wide grant initiative to insitutionalize efforts to build a more inclusive community. Supported by the James Irvine Foundation, we sought ways to enhance our support of underrepresented students including first generation college students and students of color. The success of the LEAD Program in ways to support and engage students and their families was immediately evident. Today, as an integral part of the institution, the LEAD Scholars Program builds on past successes and aims to enrich the educational experience of scholars throughout their four years at Santa Clara University.
