A High-Tech World in Your Room
The world is at your fingertips: Your residence hall has been equipped with the latest technology and conveniences. These services and amenities are provided at no additional charge; with these resources you’ll be a better student and more prepared for tomorrow’s world.
Enjoy a wide selection of programs, including MTV, ESPN, CNN, TBS, and TNT. We also subscribe to a movie company that enables us to bring you 12 of the latest movies each month. In addition, there are four university channels that showcase student projects and university programs and provide information. And you can participate in choosing additional offerings for future years.
Each residence hall room is equipped with 10/100 megabit ethernet ports connected to a campus-wide network, providing 24-hour access to E-mail, the Internet, and OSCAR (the Orradre Library online catalog system). When you’re ready to print your research paper, send it to the laser printer located at your hall’s service desk. All these services are available in and from your room at no additional charge (except for printing beyond allotted pages).
All students, faculty, and staff living in the Residence Halls are entitled to free on-site technical assistance for their computing or network needs. Technical support is provided by the Student Services group in the Information Technology department. For more information, visit the Student Technology Services Web site or call the Help Desk at 408-554-5050.
