Room Selection Nights
All room selection nights will be held in the Kennedy Commons building. Please refer to your individualized confirmation email which will be sent by May 11 and will contain details for your community including your room selection time.
Below we have included the specific dates set aside for each of our communities. Again, please refer to your confirmation email for details.

If you (and your roommate) are not able to make your designated room selection night, you may send a proxy. Make sure you give him/her a note, with your signature, indicating that they have permission to pick a room on your behalf. Any questions regarding the proxy policy may be directed to housing@scu.edu.
Floor plans, which will have available rooms for returning students, will be posted at each service desk for the individual community. The floor plans will be available two to three days before your designated room selection night. Make sure to pre-plan your room picks, as your allotted time to pick a room on selection night will be very limited.
RLC Priorities
We would like to remind you that RLC/building priority will be given to those requesting to remain in their current communities. The second group to be placed under the RLC priority will be students from the community looking to pull a student from a different community. The third group to be placed will be those students who are looking to switch into a different community but who do not have a preferred roommate already in the community.
Please keep in mind that there will be limited space available for those wishing to change communities. Room selection order and community change requests are prioritized based on the date the contract, preference form, and deposit were received.
Loyola Supplemental Applications
If you have included Loyola as one of your preferences, make sure to email your completed supplemental application to housing@scu.edu by the May 1 deadline. If we did not receive a soft copy of your supplemental application, you will not be considered for this community.
da Vinci Groupings
We encourage students who are interested in applying for the da Vinci RLC to review the grouping requirements. Please keep in mind that we give current community members priority to be placed in da Vinci and the make-up of your group may affect your overall RLC placement. If you have specific questions, please email housing@scu.edu before the May 1 deadline, in case you need to make changes to the preferred roommate selection of your preference form.
Students Studying Abroad
We would like to remind students who will be studying abroad that we do not reserve space on campus while away. Students who are abroad and who have applied for housing by the May 1 deadline will be placed on a priority wait list. We will do all we can to place students who are on this priority wait list.
In past years we have been able to offer a space on campus to all students who are on the study abroad priority list. We rely on cancellations and spaces released due to students graduating early to place our study abroad students. Again, it is the commitment of the Housing Office to work with all students.
