Staff who have run out of vacation and sick leave due to the continuing requirement to be absent from work because of illness or family emergency may be authorized additional vacation time from a pool of vacation donated by other staff. Even if hours have been donated to a specific individual, the individual must submit a Request for Additional Vacation Hours.

EELP loans are meant to provide assistance to employees who find themselves facing a financial emergency. The maximum amount of money that can be borrowed is $2,000.00.  Repayment is made through semi-monthly payroll deductions authorized by the borrower.  There is no interest charged on employee emergency loans.   Repayment periods vary from one to two years, depending on the size of the loan. There are two ATMs on campus, one in Lower Benson (Mission City Federal Credit Union) and one outside the bookstore (Bank Of America).

Kids on Campus is a self-funded, non-profit, parent participation pre-school and childcare center at Santa Clara University. Kids on Campus has been a part of the University since the fall of 1969 and serves children whose parent(s) are SCU faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Admission to KOC is handled through a waiting list. All applicants must be registered on the waiting list. Notification of enrollment for each year (September through mid-June) begins in July of the prior academic year. (There is also a summer session from mid-June through August.)

The 45,000 square foot Pat Malley Fitness and Recreation Center (Malley Center) opened in the Fall of 1999 and offers the university community an opportunity to participate in a variety of fitness, leisure, educational, and recreational activities.

In order to support Santa Clara University staff and faculty employees in spending quality time with family and friends, the HR Mission to Wellness program has obtained 4 season tickets for the San Francisco Giants.  We are able to make these tickets available at a substantial price savings before the season opener.  The location of the tickets is View Reserve Infield Section 315, Row 13, Seats 3-6.  Tickets may be purchased in groups of 2 or 4 and will be limited to allow as many employees the chance to see a ballgame.  These tickets must be used by benefit eligible employees and their guests and are not to be resold.
