  • Department description The Office of Undergraduate Studies is responsible for the Drahmann Advising and Learning Resources Center, the Undergraduate Core Curriculum, the Office of Student Fellowships, the University Honors Program, the LEAD Scholars Program, the Residential Learning Communities, and the Peer Educator Program.
    Qualifications 1. Highly detail oriented with excellent oral and written communications skills 2. Competent in basic Windows functions (creating, editing, saving, copying, moving, and searching folders and files) 3. Intermediate to advanced skills in MicroSoft Excel and Word 2007/2010 (text and data entry, formatting, sorting, page layouts, etc.) 4. Strong investigative research and writing skills 5. Internet navigation skills 6. Flexibility in adjusting to shifting priorities 7. CommonSpot web editing skills (desirable, but not required)
    Duties and responsibilities The student worker will perform a variety of tasks, including data entry using Excel spreadsheets, updating course submissions using our Camino website, investigative research and writing, general filing, and record keeping. This position requires a very high level of accuracy, so it is critical that the student demonstrates the ability to focus, follow instructions, and ask questions when instructions are not clear. Priorities can often change quickly, so flexibility will also be key to success in this position.
