  • Department description The Career Center is committed to educating the whole person by advocating for the continuous process of career and life development.
    Qualifications Must be a current SCU undergraduate student, preferably freshman or sophomore status, who is experienced with web programming. Must be attentive to detail, organized, reliable, patient, quick learner and eager to learn, flexible and with an analytical and problem solving mindset. Will need to provide consistent hours (with flexibility provided by Career Center during exams). Must have knowledge of HTML and Adobe Photoshop. Experience with CommonSpot Content Management System, Javascript/jQuery and CSS is a plus. Must be available to work up to 15 hours per week during the summer months. Working from home during the summer is possible, though working on site is preferred.
    Duties and responsibilities Working closely with the Assistant Director of the Career Center, you will be trained to play an instrumental role in managing the Career Center website. Responsibilities include weekly updates to online event calendars, making requested revisions to content, designing new pages, analyzing user interactions with Google Analytics, user testing, ensuring website conformity to University design standards, creating HTML emails, and staying up to date with new CommonSpot elements by attending, as possible, monthly website administrator meetings. The training period will last through spring quarter with increasing responsibilities in summer and fall.
