  • Department description This is a full time (40 hours a week) position for the Summer. During the school year (starting Fall 2014) it will transition to twenty hours a week. Purpose of the position: Assist in providing instructional technology support to faculty and students, with a primary emphasis on effecting maximum customer service and a commitment to quality media services in a learning and production environment. The position works in concert within team of full-time and student staff to successfully carry out duties, as well as to backup and support colleagues when necessary.
    Qualifications A. Professional: 1. Experience working with customers in a work environment preferred. B. Personal/Personality: 1. Service oriented. 2. Ability to work effectively and communicate with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty. 3. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy (sometimes chaotic) and demanding environment. 4. Ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated; shows initiative. 5. Fast learner with good problem solving skills. 6. Responsible and dependable with good attendance and work habits. 7. Currently enrolled student at Santa Clara University having a 2.0 GPA or better. 8. Graduate students only
    Duties and responsibilities ? Assist students, faculty, and staff in use of equipment, and multimedia/digital video production ? Perform ongoing inventory and maintenance tasks of equipment and facilities ? Work on on-going and long-term projects, e.g., video duplication and streaming ? Creating technical documentation, diagrams and training materials ? Perform routine office duties; including (but not limited to) creating or updating Word Documents and Spreadsheets, as well as cleaning, labeling and organizing the Media Services facilities
