  • Department description Undergraduate Programs in the School of Engineering provides daily engineering tours to prospective students and families as they visit Santa Clara University over the summer months. Our Engineering Tour guide staff lead these tours of the Engineering facilities and serve as student ambassadors for the School of Engineering.
    Qualifications A. Must be a current undergraduate engineering student, or graduate student who completed an undergraduate engineering degree at SCU with a 2.5 minimum GPA. B. Must be knowledgeable of all of the undergraduate engineering departments or willing to become familiar with each department C. Must be familiar with the labs and lab equipment within the School of Engineering D. Willing to stay updated on the current events and news within the School of Engineering E. The candidate must be articulate and must possess the 'people skills' of a university tour guide including being outgoing, personable, welcoming and able to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
    Duties and responsibilities A. Lead tours of Engineering labs and facilities for prospective students and families. Engineering Tours are offered in the summer at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday. B. Meet with prospective students and families to answer questions and give a student perspective of the School of Engineering. Occasional requests are received from prospective families to interact with students outside of the tours. C. Other related tasks as needed
