A couple of names and faces that are very familiar to you are Lorraine Alabi and Liz Mireles.Lorraine's additional duties include managing the combined Staffing and Compensation team. Her mission ensures that staffing and compensation becomes a seamless process for our customers.Liz, whom most of you know as "the go to person" for Student Hiring, joins Lorraine's team and works on cross-training her other team members on the student hiring processes. This reorganization provides the SCU community with depth in our student hiring protocols.
During this transition, Maria Aranda will be the direct contact for this fall's student hires.Maria is available to respond to all of your inquiries. She will be located in the Benson Center and can be reached at 551-3000 x 6444. These staffing adjustments begin what we hope is the achievement of one of our short-term objectives: securing a full HR team so we can better respond to your needs.Human Resources currently has four vacancies. Our goal is to have these vacancies filled by the end of September.I realize this is an ambitious goal but, in order for us to meet the needs of the campus community, HR must be fully staffed. Many of you are struggling with you own vacancies and I am painfully aware of the consequences this poses to your service delivery model. I want to thank you all for your patience and willingness to partner with us during this transition time. - Maria Elena de Guevara
