Organizational Learning and Development Staff

Charlie Ambelang
Manager of Organizational Learning & Development

Charlie is responsible for the design and development of staff training programs, workshops and retreats. He works with departments, managers and staff to maximize personal effectiveness, assist in process improvement, increase team effectiveness, and improve the workplace environment. Charlie also does work in Employee Relations and is available to do conflict mediation for faculty and staff. He is also qualified in the MBTI.

A longtime employee of SCU, Charlie previously directed the Center for Student Leadership and the Benson Memorial Center. Prior to coming to SCU, he worked at University of Southern California and Colorado State University.

Charlie has a BA in Sociology from University of Northern Colorado and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Colorado State University. He is also a volunteer for the National Conference of Community and Justice serving as the training coordinator for diversity programs. He is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, the Bay Area OD Network and the Association for Psychological Type.
