Sustainable Energy & Social Responsibility

Dan Misleh explained how and why climate disruption is of moral concern and describe, from a Catholic social teaching framework, his work around education and outreach with faith communities. He also reported on the role of the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change (CCCC) in US policy deliberations on sustainable energy solutions to climate disruption.

The Lecturer:

Misleh_Dan_85wDan Misleh is currently the Executive Director of the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change (CCCC). Prior to founding CCCC in 2007, he assisted the public policy arm of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as the director of diocesan relations for the Department of Social Development and World Peace (now Justice, Peace, and Human Development). Dan holds a bachelor’s in business management from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a master’s in theology from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California.
