Ignatian Faculty Forum

The Ignatian Faculty Forum (IFF) is a university-wide faculty leadership program established in 2002. The objective of the Ignatian Faculty Forum is to discover the elements of a modern Ignatian spirituality that would be true to the "lived experiences" of faculty members fully engaged in their professional careers. This is not an abstract, idealized spirituality, but one that integrates Ignatian insight with the day to day struggles of teaching, scholarship, and university service as actually experienced by faculty. Specifically the Forum provides a small community of trust in which faculty share joys and struggles as they engage in reflective discernment. This program is a serious commitment to both the future of Santa Clara's Jesuit heritage and the development of faculty leaders. Accordingly the Provost's Office has made a commitment that University Administration will count participation in the seminar as a major service activity during the year of involvement. In turn, faculty participants commit to attendance at each of the eight dialogues, careful reading of the shared assignments, and thoughtful Forum participation.
