The Catholic Bishops of the United States founded CRS in 1943 as an international relief and development group. Now with a local presence in over 90 countries worldwide, the agency strives not only to help the poor and disadvantaged globally, but also to educate Americans about their moral responsibility to remove the causes of poverty and to promote social justice worldwide.

In cooperation with various departments and offices on campus, DISCOVER will provide a wide menu of options year after year that will help students make critical choices about their lives in the present and future. At the same time, in conjunction with the Bannan Center for Jesuit Education and the Arrupe Center for Community-based Learning, DISCOVER will provide necessary resources for faculty and staff to mentor students as they discern their vocation.
