Shattuck and University Avenue
These two main streets in downtown Berkeley have much to offer.

Solano Avenue
Solano Avenue runs along the north end of the city and is home to more than 150 shops. 

Telegraph Avenue
Historically the “hippie hub” of Berkeley, and still reminiscent of the 60’s today, Telegraph Avenue offers legendary music stores, landmark bookstores, and vintage clothing shops, among others. 

Fourth Street
Considered one of the leading shopping streets in California, Fourth Street offers stores including Anthropologie, April Cornell, Bare Escentuals, Benefit Cosmetics, Crate and Barrel, Dansk, The Gardener, Restoration Hardwar, Sola Lucy, and many more.  

College Avenue
Part of the Rockridge shopping district, College Ave extends from UC Berkeley into Oakland. It is lined with great bookstores, cute boutiques, and several vintage and collectible shops. 


Bay Street Emeryville
Self-described as a “one million-square-foot urban village including retail, residential, hotel and entertainment offerings,”  Bay Street includes stores such as the Apple Store, Athleta, Banana Republic, Barnes and Noble, Coach, Express, Fossil, Gap, Godiva Chocolatier, H&M, J.Crew, Old Navy, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Steve Madden, and Williams-Sonoma.

East BayBridge Shopping Center
Stores include Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, Home Depot, Michaels, BNC Nutrition Center, Radio Shack, Verizon Wireless, GameStop, and others. There is plenty of free parking.
