Before the case was tried on the issue of unconscionability, the parties settled.  Mrs. Williams had gradually replaced the items seized and was not interested in their return.  Pursuant to the settlement, the store paid Mrs. Williams the reasonable value of the used items determined as of the time immediately preceding the seizure.  P Dostert, Appellate Restatement of Unconscionability: Civil Legal Aid at Work, 54 ABA Journal 1183, 1186 (1968).
