Law School Methodology
In law school, you are challenged to learn through Socratic dialogues and hypothetical problems. Through this process, you not only learn the law, but also acquire the skills essential to the practice of law: analytical and critical thought process.
Study Sessions
ASP's study sessions are designed to stimulate the student in his or her analysis and processing of the law. ASP eligible students, as determined under guidelines established by the faculty of the law school, may choose to participate in study sessions in the Fall semester. The study sessions are facilitated by upper-division students called "Session Leaders". In addition, in the Fall and Spring semesters, the ASP Director and selected upper-division students retained by ASP as Academic Assistants, are available to offer individual and personalized assistance to each eligible student.

Disclaimer (All ASP Web Site Materials)
All ASP materials are developed as a supplemental study aid, by upper-division students and by the ASP Director, often with the assistance of faculty members. ASP materials aim at suggesting different ways of approaching law school study, and the diverse study methods presented here reflect our commitment to diverse learning styles.
Please feel free to use ASP materials to supplement your own study methods. However, please note that ASP materials do not purport to be an accurate source of substantive law, nor are the sample answers offered the correct or only answer.
