Connecticut Same Sex Marriage Decision
October 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM
The Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled that the Connecticut state statutory scheme, which allows heterosexual couples to marry but restricts same-sex couples to civil unions, is not permissible under the Connecticut state constitution. The decision makes Connecticut the third state to allow same sex marriage, after Massachusetts and California.
