Before joining the High Tech Law Institute as Assistant Director, Cindy worked at the University of Maryland School of Law, where she held the equivalent position for the school’s nationally-ranked Law and Health Care Program.  Cindy also has been a practicing lawyer and an adjunct faculty member in the Biology Department at the Community College of Baltimore County.  Cindy earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, her M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and her B.A. in English and Biology from Georgia Southern University.  As Assistant Director, Cindy will work with local technology law firms and practitioners and lead the High Tech Law Institute’s marketing and communications efforts.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Cindy join the High Tech Law Institute," says Prof. Eric Goldman, Director of the High Tech Law Institute.  "She has first-hand experience administering a highly ranked academic program, plus her expertise in healthcare and life sciences will allow us to provide greater support for faculty, practitioners and students working in those areas."

Kyra joins the High Tech Law Institute most recently from Santa Clara University’s Department of Religious Studies, where she was an Administrative Assistant since 2006.  Before that, she held several roles in university administration at other institutions.  Kyra earned her B.S. from Vanderbilt University and her M.Ed. from Tennessee State University.  As Program Manager, Kyra will focus on providing student services and planning events.

"We are lucky to have Kyra as part of the team," said Goldman.  "We anticipate that her expertise will allow us to significantly enhance the range and quality of services we offer to students."
