Register now for CHTLJ's symposium on Cross-Border Legal Challenges in High Tech Law
The 22nd annual Computer & High Technology Law Journal Symposium will be taking place on Friday, January 26, 2007, at the San Jose Museum of Art. Over the years, the Journal has hosted symposia devoted to many current, pivotal issues at the intersection of law and technology. In 2007, the Symposium will address the issue of cross-border legal challenges. As cross-border commerce flourishes, many complex legal issues arise. Fundamental differences in policies and substantive laws among trading nations create many hidden risks for global high-tech companies. This symposium will explore and examine some of these challenges in high technology law.
The day-long symposium features five moderated panels with a highly distinguished group of practitioners and scholars. Cost is $175 for practitioners who register before January 19 and $225 for practitioners after January 19. Registration is free for full-time law students, academics, and government employees. Includes breakfast and buffet lunch. Six hours of MCLE credit (including one hour of ethics credit) are available for paid attendees. Santa Clara University certifies that this activity has been approved for MCLE credit by the State Bar of California in amounts of one hour of MCLE credit for each hour of substantive presentation. As the provider, Santa Clara University will retain the required MCLE records for this program.
