The latest info on the Patent Bar Exam, who can take it, how it works, now that it's on computer, when you should take it (you don't need to...and probably shouldn't...wait until you graduate), how and when the new rules changes coming out of the Patent Office will impact the Exam, and recommendations on when and how to study for this very difficult Exam. Blogging, Scholarship and the Bench & Bar, Mon. 9/17, 10:30am-12pm
September 10, 2007 at 3:01 PM
The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) and the National Law Journal present
Blogging, Scholarship, and the Bench and Bar
Hosted by the High Tech Law Institute and the Center for Social Justice and Public Service
September 17, 2007
10:30 am-12 pm PST
Wiegand Room, Arts & Sciences Building
Law professors have increasingly turned to blogs and other electronic media to engage current legal issues. Law schools must evaluate if the work of these "blawgers" should weigh comparably with traditional hard copy scholarship. Does this form of writing present challenges to credibility or does its timeliness make it particularly useful?
In this online and live panel, several blawgers, a federal judge, and a practicing lawyer engage the issues presented by the proliferation of electronic discussions of the law.
For the list of panelists and discussion facilitators, see complete flyer.
Attend in person or view online!
TO ATTEND IN PERSON: Email hightechlaw@scu.edu by Wed. 9/12 to secure a seat. Attendance is free; however, an RSVP is required! 1 hour of MCLE credit will be offered if you attend in person.
