Annual Law Student Conference on Public Interest Litigation
November 12, 2008 at 2:44 PM
Each year the Institute for Justice, the nation’s leading libertarian public interest law firm, brings 35 top law students to Washington, D.C., to learn how to use law as a force for freedom. Though many of our alumni go on to private practice and other avenues outside the public interest field, they apply the conference’s lessons in their careers and often work on pro bono cases to advance the cause of liberty.
This weekend-long conference gives law students a crash course in how public interest law is practiced the IJ Way. A "must-attend" event for law students interested in fighting for liberty throughout their careers, conference topics include IJ’s four litigation pillars, constitutional theory, media skills, and public interest law tactics. Next summer's conference will be held July 23rd - 26th, 2009, at George Washington University.
