I am requesting your assistance in providing us with your ideas and opinions about the law school’s website. We have prepared a short survey intended to solicit your views about the website and I would appreciate it if you took a few minutes to complete the survey and submit it. We’ll study the results of the survey very carefully as we make decisions about what the website should look like and the features it should have in the future. We are interested in any other suggestions for improving the SCU Law School web site. This survey is specifically about the School of Law website http://law.scu.edu/ and does not include e-campus, claranet or the main University website.

Thank you for your assistance.

Message from Dean regarding Office of Student Services
August 30, 2007 at 10:39 AM

Dear Law School Students:

I am writing to announce some administrative changes in the offices of law student support and assistance. These changes continue our efforts to strengthen the support and assistance we provide to our students and student organizations.

First, Senior Assistant Dean Julia Yaffee will focus her considerable talents on law school marketing, communications and external relationships, including publications, new student marketing as well as web page content development. She will also continue to oversee Law Career Services and will serve as Senior Assistant Dean for External Relations.

Assistant Dean Susan Erwin will take over directing critical areas of law student services, including the work of the Law Records Office, student academic and personal advising, and support for law student organizations. To reflect this change, her new title will be Senior Assistant Dean for Student Services.

Angela Lee will take over some of the project management in the Law Records Office and will focus on improving services to our faculty and staff, primarily through the use of technology. She will continue to handle most issues relating to grades and exam reschedules. Her new title will be Assistant Registrar for Technology and Student Services.

Meher Bharucha will step in to take over most of the records analyst duties previously handled by Ms. Lee. Ms. Bharucha is being promoted to the position of Assistant Registrar, Academic Records.

Alisa Guglielmo will become the Director of Student Life and have expanded responsibility for student wellness, advising, and oversight of student organizations. She will also help develop and carry out marketing initiatives aimed at new students. Ms. Guglielmo will work closely with both Dean Erwin and Dean Yaffee.

Joanie Schuller will take over responsibility for overseeing commencement. Under her care, our commencement ceremonies will continue to be first rate.

I believe these changes, which will be implemented immediately, will make the law school's very strong and responsive areas of student support services even stronger, and will permit us to increase our marketing and promotion of the law school and its faculty and programs. Please let me know if you have any questions concerning the implemention of these changes in administrative support.
