Karin Carter


Biography
Karin C. Carter, an associate attorney with Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP, practices transactional corporate and securities law. Serving emerging growth company clients, Ms. Carter's practice is focused on Securities and Exchange Commission filings, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and other corporate governance issues. Ms. Carter is a 2001 magna cum laude graduate of Whittier College School of Law, where she received the Dean's Outstanding Service Award, merit scholarships and other academic honors. Prior to law school, Ms. Carter acquired extensive civil litigation experience as a corporate paralegal dealing with environmental remediation and insurance coverage matters. She also served on active duty in the United States Air Force as an intelligence officer specializing in space and missile technology. As a volunteer organizer, Ms. Carter spent three years with a child support advocacy group, pressing for legislative and policy changes to aid low-income children. Ms. Carter earned her bachelor's degree in history at Scripps College, where her studies included the Year Abroad at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
