International Law Program
Cancellation, Modification, and Refunds
No program will be held in an area for which the United States Department of State has issued special travel advisories.
Santa Clara reserves the right to cancel or substantially modify any program for the following reasons:
- Undue risk to the health and safety of participants.
- Under enrollment in the program (fewer than six students enrolled)
- Unforeseen events beyond the control of Santa Clara University, including, but not limited to:
- Illness of the program director or key faculty who cannot be replaced
- Unavailability of essential facilities
- Disruption of the transportation system through labor disputes, natural disasters, etc.
In the event of a cancellation or substantial modification applicants will be notified by April 21, 2007, if possible, and may, at their option, transfer to any other Santa Clara summer abroad program or receive a full refund of any payments made. This is the only basis for which a refund will be granted, and expresses the entirety of Santa Clara University’s responsibility.
Travel insurance should be considered to cover potential losses.
Named lecturers, precise class schedules, visits to sites, etc. are provided for general guidance and information. All efforts will be made to follow published program detail where feasible. However, unforeseen events may require such adjustments, substitutions, and adjustments to these programs. Applicants will be informed of any revisions adjustments as soon as possible. Such adjustments are not deemed to be "substantial program modifications" warranting withdrawal and refund.
