Hi. I'm Professor Armstrong. This web page is my attempt to enter the technological era. I hope that you enjoy it. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me at : marmstrong@scu.edu

I was born and raised in Chicago. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Earlham College, majoring in English. I received my J.D. in 1981 from UC-Berkeley (Boalt Hall), where I served as associate editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly. I am a member of the California and Illinois bars.

Prior to teaching at Santa Clara University, I practiced in public employment law, was a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Alameda County, and directed the Academic Support Program at Boalt Hall. I joined the Santa Clara law faculty in 1987 and teach Property, Remedies, Race and Racism in the Law, and Comparative Law. Professor I write in the areas of housing, racial discrimination, and comparative law.

I am married and have a daughter, I'm a San Francisco Giants fan, and enthusiastically collect bad-taste postcards.
