Counseling Psychology Databases

A multidisciplinary database providing access to more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. It also offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals. Covers a wide range of academic topics including business, education, social sciences, humanities, science, & engineering. Coverage varies, with some publications going back to 1911.

Provides a rich online collection of video available for the study of psychotherapy, psychology, psychiatric counseling, and social work - 400 hours and more than 330 videos, when completed. The database includes filmed footage of actual therapy sessions, re-enacted therapy sessions, and scripted sessions designed by counseling professionals to illustrate common issues and scenarios that arise during courses of therapy.

Database of full-text articles from the journals published by the American Psychological Association as well as some others from the Canadian Psychological Association and Hogrefe & Huber. The list of journals covered is expanding as are the dates of coverage. In 2002 some went back to 1988. In 2003 back issues from 1985-1987 will be added. The database is updated daily. There are links to articles in this database from the PsycINFO database.

Abstracts professional and scholarly psychology journals and book chapters, plus dissertations and technical reports. The coverage includes over 1300 journals in 27 languages from approximately 50 countries. 1887-present. Updated monthly.

The National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database. It includes such topics as microbiology, delivery of health care, nutrition, pharmacology, and environment health. 1966-present.

Index to the journal literature of the social sciences. It fully covers over 1,400 journals spanning 50 disciplines. Coverage also includes items relevant to the social sciences selected from 7,000 other journals. 1994-present. Updated weekly.
