Access to the citations and the full text of all of the articles published by the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) in journals, newsletters and conference proceedings.

Indexes science and technology periodicals in chemistry, computer technology, energy-related disciplines, engineering, mathematics and physics. March 1993-present. Updated monthly.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Digital Library provides searching for transaction journals from 1980-present, conference proceedings from 2002-present and ASME Press eBooks selected from 1998-present. Before ordering reprints directly from this database, please check the SCU ASME journal list to see if we have access to it locally. If not, request it through Interlibrary Loan.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) provides electronic searching for all of its publications. The CEDB provides access to over 170,000 records. Records with abstracts go back to 1970, non-abstracted records go back to 1958, and book records go back to the early 1900's.

Search citations and abstracts of dissertations and theses submitted by Santa Clara University, and other participating institutions. Allows a 24-page preview of all dissertations published after 1996. SCU users may download the full-text of any SCU dissertation published after 1996.

Provides coverage of earthquake engineering and earthquake hazard mitigation. Currently has over 114,000 records in the index from approximately 1971-present (full citation and abstracts), with 50% of records 1992 or later. Both journal articles and conference proceedings are included. Updated monthly.

Compendex, the online version of Engineering Index, is a comprehensive database of engineering research literature, containing references to over 5000 engineering journals and conferences. 1884-present. The default search covers 1969-present. Use the pull- down menu to change the years of search coverage. The EI Compendex backfile added records from 1884-1968.

EIS extracts the key issues from complex government-released environmental impact statements, converting massive documents into concise, readable abstracts. 1985-present. Updated bi-monthly.

This platform provides access to over 9.5 million abstracts from EI Compendex (1884-present), approximately 7.9 million abstracts from Inspec (1896-present), the full text of U.S. patents (1976-present), and the full text of 1300+ CRC engineering handbooks. The IEEE/IEE Electronic Library (IEL) is IEEE's complete full-text product on its Xplore platform. It is an online collection of IEEE and IEE journals and conferences--plus the IEEE standards. These publications provide 30% of the world's electrical engineering and computer science literature in a single source. There is a full-text backfile for each title to 1988, with selected titles back to 1950.

Covers the fields of physics, electronics, computing, control engineering, and information technology with more than seven million records taken from 3,500 technical & scientific journals and 1,500 conference proceedings. 1896-present. Updated weekly.

JCR is a resource tool for journal evaluation in the areas of science, technology, and social sciences. JCR can show you the: highest impact journals, most frequently used journals, hottest journals and largest journals.

Provides full-text access to 29 Taylor & Francis journals including algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, computer mathematics, dynamics, history of mathematics, mathematics education, optimization, probability, and statistics. Coverage for each title: Volume 1, Issue 1, up to 1996.

SCU receives 400+ ScienceDirect online journals from the publisher Elsevier. SCU's ScienceDirect journals are marked by green icons. Most are full-text. Dates covered: 1995-present. Elsevier journals focus on science, technology, medicine, and business, and include high impact-factor journals such as the Trends and Current Opinion series.

The SPIN database contains the abstracts of over 80 scientific journals published by the American Institute of Physics and its Member Societies since 1975, as well as selected articles from other scientific journals. Can also browse tables of contents and abstracts, full text is available for subscribed journals.

A library of 50- to 100-page eBooks which provides a 'synthesis' of important research or development topics authored by well-known contributors to their fields. SCU has purchased Collections 1, 3, and 4 (the collection currently in publication). A list of titles grouped by subject is also available.

Bibliographic database produced and maintained by the Transportation Research Board at the National Academies of Sciences. TRIS contains abstracts of articles, books, technical reports, and conference papers, as well as summaries of ongoing research, relevant to the planning, development, operation or performance of transportation systems or their components in all modes and from all disciplines. Coverage is from 1968, with some bits from prior years.
