Instructional Services

Support for Faculty Teaching And Scholarship

The subject librarians can assist you and your students in making better use of the resources of SCU's library and the world of information in general.

Librarians Can…

  • Prepare workshops and presentations on library resources and research strategies, held in either the library or your classroom. These can range from 20-minutes "pep talks" to one or more class sessions.

  • Create specialized electronic or printed bibliographies or research guides for your classes.

  • Serve as consultants/advisors to individual students or project groups, working on research assignments.

  • Consult on the development of library/information literacy assignments.

  • Partner with you and other Information Services staff to effectively integrate technology into your classes.

  • Provide research support for your scholarly activities.

  • Provide instruction in the effective use of electronic resources, such as subject databases, OSCAR, or the web.

Contact the subject librarian for your department or program for more information.
