Podcasting is an Internet technology that educators can use to provide students with course materials they can use anytime, any place, even when they are not connected to a computer. You can use podcasting to deliver course content in audio, video, and/or graphic formats. Faculty and students can easily produce their own podcasts using GarageBand.
Student and faculty podcasts can be uploaded to the Santa Clara University iTunesU site. Course content placed in iTunesU is secure and can only be accessed through ANGEL. Podcasts can then be downloaded onto iPods and other MP3 players, or watched on a computer. Here's an example of a podcast created by SCU faculty member Isabelle Pafford.
