About LINC-TV

In Fall 1995, the first phase of LINC-TV - Santa Clara University's privately owned cable television system - was completed with cable television service to all of the residence halls. The cable headend is located in Media Services, in the Ricard Observatory. Signal is transmitted to the residence halls in three ways: via coax to the Kennedy Mall halls; via fiber to Graham 100, and then coax to the east-side halls; and via a single hop microwave antennae to both the Villa and the Alameda halls.

In addition to the off-campus programming on LINC-TV, there are a number of channels set aside for original programming, such as the University Events Channel, and the Law School and Business School channels.  There are other channels available for taped programming (e.g., course materials, tape delayed live campus events, event promos, training videos).
