Instructional Technology Resource Specialists

The Instructional Technology Resource Specialist (ITRS) works to help Santa Clara's faculty to integrate technology in support of the University's general mission of teaching, research, and service. They partner with faculty to: design and develop multimedia course materials; integrate Web technologies into the curriculum; identify available existing technology resources; train in the use of multimedia classroom equipment; and develop teaching and assessment materials.

The Instructional Technology Resource Specialists are
Michael Ballen, Gloria Hofer, and James Linehan.

Equipment and Services

Dan Maloney schedules use of  audio visual equipment, computer projection, digital cameras, off-airs, satellite teleconferences, facilities for video taping and editing, large group viewing rooms. 


Technical Support

The Media Systems Specialists, Ruth Ellison and Hugo Leal, provide support for classroom technology; and audio/video recording, duplication, and streaming.  They also consult with campus users on equipment purchases and installations.
