Alumni Recital Series 2008

Santa Clara University Department of Music is proud to present the inaugural Alumni Recital Series concert, hosting new music advocate and SCU alumni Thomas Buckner, baritone.
Mr. Buckner (SCU class of 1964) will present an evening of contemporary works in both composed and improvised settings. This program features works by composers William Duckworth, Mel Graves, Jon Gibson and the Californian premiere of
Spiral IX: Maha Sathukar by Chinary Ung.
Featured performers include:
Joseph Kubera, piano, Susan Ung, amplified viola and voice, Lynn Vartan, percussion and amplified voice, Ted Mook, cello, Jon Gibson, soprano sax and wooden flute, Earl Howard, alto saxophone and electronics, and David Wessel, electronics.
Mr Buckner will also be hosting a vocal masterclass on Tuesday January 29th at 1.45pm, in the Music & Dance Building rehearsal hall. This masterclass is open to the public!
