In its annual ranking, “America’s Best Colleges 2013,” U.S. News & World Report ranked SCU second overall among master’s universities in the West. At 96 percent, SCU has the highest freshman retention rate of all master’s universities. Santa Clara’s average undergraduate graduation rate, 86 percent, was the third highest rate of the 625 master’s universities across the country.

The Alumni Factor ranked Santa Clara University 43rd nationally in a new college ranking service. Unlike other rankings, colleges and universities are judged on a survey of 42,000 alumni from 177 schools across the country.

Construction of a new student housing community at Santa Clara University is now underway. Upon completion in fall 2011, this new, eco-friendly residential community, designed by KTGY, will provide 400 beds for the University's junior and senior students.
