Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering is now in the top 10 undergraduate engineering programs offered by master’s universities across the country. In the newly released U.S. News & World Report rankings, SCU jumped four spots to No. 10. Santa Clara University maintained its second place overall among master’s universities in the West.

In its annual ranking, “America’s Best Colleges 2013,” U.S. News & World Report ranked SCU second overall among master’s universities in the West. At 96 percent, SCU has the highest freshman retention rate of all master’s universities. Santa Clara’s average undergraduate graduation rate, 86 percent, was the third highest rate of the 625 master’s universities across the country.

Santa Clara University's School of Engineering will celebrate its 100th anniversary this academic year with a series of events, including visits from industry leaders such as Intel's President and CEO Paul Otellini and Apple's Co-founder Steve Wozniak, as well as a look into the future to examine how engineering will change in the next 100 years.

Santa Clara University's School of Engineering will receive an anonymous gift of $1.3 million from an engineering alumnus and his wife from the San Francisco Bay Area to help create some of the country's top students in the field of renewable energy.
