Applications are being sought for up to 35 California-based enterprises to receive six months of intensive entrepreneurship training led by Santa Clara University business school faculty. The program,which begins in June, is the 4th annual California Program for Entrepreneurship, or CAPE.

The third annual California Program for Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University hopes to be a fresh launching pad for 32 entrepreneurs involved in startups ranging from a flying-robot retrieval system; a mobile-phone dating service; a cutting-edge surgical-glue venture, and a travel and safety app for hikers.

Entrepreneurs and experts in the exploding baby boomer marketplace and the “longevity economy” will convene June 20 at Santa Clara University for the ninth annual Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit.
