  •  Jerry Shapiro

     Jerry Shapiro (Psychology) wrote a piece for the Huffington Post called Sex Advice for Boomers. The article was based on the research for his latest book Finding Meaning, Facing Fears: In the Autumn of Your Years.

  •  Judy Nadler

     Judy Nadler (Markkula) was quoted in a New York Times column about ethics and doing the right thing, explaining why ethics can be a higher standard than law. She also was quoted in the L.A. Times and the Huntington Beach Independent about a mayoral candidate in L.A.

  •  Brad Joondeph

     Brad Joondeph (Law) talked to USA Today about the upcoming Supreme Court docket. The story ran in 82 outlets.

  •  Anna Sampaio

     Anna Sampaio (Ethnic Studies) was quoted in the Houston Chronicle about the voting preference gap between Hispanic men and women. 

  •  Cynthia Mertens

     Cynthia Mertens (Law) was quoted about the contract that obliges the Santa Clara County school board to absorb losses on a condo being sold by a former superintendent. The story ran in the Mercury News and about two dozen other outlets.

  •  Andy Tsay

     Andy Tsay (OMIS) was quoted in a San Jose Mercury News column focused on a manufacturing company in Silicon Valley, which ran in about a dozen other papers. He also participated in a one-hour "Live Chat" with readers on the topic of Valley manufacturing.

  •  Colleen Chien

     Colleen Chien (Law) was quoted in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal about Oracle suing to defend its customers from patent suits, and in a Q&A  about what to do about patent "trolls."  Her paper on the topic was also covered by Law360.

  •  Nancy Unger

     Nancy Unger (History) wrote an op-ed distributed by History News Network, which was picked up by the Baltimore Sun, Orlando Sentinel and Common Dreams,  about how Rachel Carson's book launched the modern environmental movement.  A talk she gave at Dickinson State U was also noted by the Bismarck Tribune.

  •  Anna Han

     Anna Han (Law) appeared on NBC Bay Area News at 7 PM to discuss an escalating dispute between China and Japan, over a group of islands that both countries claim. She also appeared on ABC7 to discuss the closure of the FoxConn factory in China after worker riots.

  •  Mike Gilleran

     Mike Gilleran (Inst. of Sports Law & Ethics) spoke to KNTV's Kris Sanchez about the NFL Referee Strike and the power fans have in negotiations.
