2008 Orientation Leader

Hometown: Grapevine, Texas

What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
Western Civilization: Ancient History because the teacher, Mr. Caprio, is one of the most passionate teachers I have ever met, and his love for history really translates into the classroom, which makes all of us students eager to learn as well.

What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
Eating at Benson because you always see people that you know and laying out in the quad with my friends.

What advice would you give to the Class of 2012?
Plan ahead and be responsible, with so much free time, you really have to be on top of your game so that you don’t fall behind come midterm and exam time.

Why do you love SCU?
I love SCU because it has become my home away from home.  The wonderful sense of community has really made the transition from high school to college extremely easy, and I really feel like I am getting the best college experience possible here. It seems that everyone who is here really wants to be, making the environment in and out of the classroom extremely enjoyable.
