What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
My favorite class thus far at SCU has been my English 2 class.  Generally, English is my least favorite subject; however, under the influence of my brilliant professor, I really enjoyed this class.  By the end of the term, I not only successfully wrote a twenty page research paper, but enjoyed writing it!  The class allowed me to study subject matter that I would otherwise have not researched (the subject being graphic literature) and my over all writing ability greatly improved.

What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
I’m involved with a lot of activities on campus, but one of my favorites is definitely intramural soccer.  It’s the perfect way to get some exercise, hang out with friends, and play a sport I love.  (And there are surprisingly some really good soccer players…the competition gets intense!)  I highly recommend playing some kind of intramural sport at SCU.

What advice would you give to the Class of 2012?
Try something new and don’t be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone.  A lot of times it’s easy to get caught up feeling uncomfortable, but remember that everyone is in the same situation that you are.  Be outgoing and meet as many people as you can.

Why do you love SCU?
Honestly, what’s not to love about SCU?  The location and weather are perfect.  The Jesuit philosophy is truly inspiring.  Small class sizes and great professors make learning much more effective.  But more than anything, you can’t beat the people at SCU.  Everyone is extremely friendly and you can’t help but smile as you walk around campus.
